Angels

The word "angel" first occurs in Genesis 16:7, where the angels of the Lord ministered to Hagar after Sarah had mistreated her (1913 BC). Angels are usually viewed as messengers of a supreme divine being, sent to do the tasks of that being.
Angels are one of a class of spiritual beings; a celestial attendant of God. In medieval angelology, angels constituted the lowest of the nine celestial orders (seraphim, cherubim, thrones, dominations or dominions, virtues, powers, principalities or princedoms, archangels, and angels). They are a conventional representation of such a being, in human form, with wings, usually in white robes.

They were created by God but the time is not revealed of their creation. In Colossians 1:16-17, speaks about the creation of angels, therefore, it is clear that they have not existed from all eternity.

"For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things. and in Him all things hold together."

Its creation is never definitely specified, but it is most probably that it occurred in connection with the creation of the heavens in Genesis 1:1.

In Job 38:4-7, Angels may be created by God after He created the heavens and before He created the earth, "the sons of God shouted for joy" when he laid the foundations of the earth.

They seem to be innumerable and countless. Daniel 7:10; Matthew 26:53 and Hebrews 12:22, give no definite figures.

God created them at one time. No new angels are being added to the number and they flock around the universe in their millions.
